Paradigm Shift Paper
The paradigm shift research paper analyzed the cultural shift of a certain issue. By identifying, discussing, and analyzing the paradigm shift of a contemporary cultural movement, I managed to bring light to a very controversial issue, the right of cancer patients to use medical marijuana as a medicine. I consistently used rhetoric throughout this paper to not only cause my arguments to be more effective, but to improve my ability to use rhetoric in the future. Through the use of external sources and personal insight, I was able to explain how both the issue and the attitudes toward the issue have changed over time.

Issue Brief
This 7-10 page paper was the last formal written work for the class and combined all of the skills that I had learned throughout the course to present and persuade others on an issue that is relevant to the community. I substantiated my case, A Transition to Cleaner Energy, with extensive research and utilized rhetoric skills to write a comprehensive issue brief about the issue. This issue brief was accompanied by a website, A Transition to Lower Pollution Levels and Cleaner Energy that I created to gain futher attention for the issue. I think that this paper turned out very well due to the fact that I wrote it at the end of the second semester. I combined all of the knowledge that I had learned over the past year to state and issue and prove a plan of action that could help ameliorate this issue.
